There is a complete lack of a story, interesting gear, and enemy variety. The controls are clunky and unresponsive. You will find yourself constantly running into enemies instead of shooting at them. Combat is dull. Enemies are bullet sponges and take forever to kill. Skills are seizure inducing.Tunngle is required to get multiplayer working, and even then there are quirks to joining a game and when you do be prepared for bugs and friendly fire. My full video review is available here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzGdFIl--Q0. Greed: Black Border is too imbalanced in terms of difficulty to recommend. While the game is beautiful to look at, runs at a great speed despite very intricate pre-rendered and live graphics (the mix of which often causes other ARPGs to get choppy), it's gameplay wildly fluctuates between appreciably challenging and downright diabolically cheap. It's a shame because at the points in the game the devs get it right, this makes a great play of being a science fiction alternative to other point and click hack and slashers, and makes a very good transition from their predominantly sword based gameplay into gun based action. Effectively, when Greed is good, it is very very good. This only serves to make the multiple difficulty spikes (actually never mind spikes, cliffs), poorly thought out mobs and insanely cheap sudden deaths all the more frustrating and hard to forgive. The boss fights are next to impossible, and many of the higher level enemies can almost instantly kill you from off screen. Enemies at times seem to shoot you with their highest damage attack from the end of a corridor across an entire map, and in general, the game really forces you to save every time you kill something or suffer the consequences and that really destroys your immersion. To cap this off, there is no enemy respawn or randomised encounter system to enable you to grind until you're too powerful to get cheap-shotted into oblivion during a boss fight or violated into a reload for the cardinal sin of opening the wrong flipping door. I could forgive the game suddenly going off the deep end without warning over and over if I could've run around doing the equivalent of stabbing rats until I was big and hard enough to not have to worry a la any JRPG you care to mention, but EXP is finite and levelling is painfully slow even on Easy.I don't mind hard games at all. I have two Ninja Gaiden games and around 50 bullet hells sitting in my games collection, and I've even finished a few of them. I enjoy a well put together challenge. However I cannot stand a schizophrenic, jumpstarting, spiking and above all else, cheap attempt at a challenge. Greed has no balance to it's gameplay at all, veering constantly between laughably easy and nihilistically, keyboard-punchingly difficult with next to no warning, and no amount of high performance, great music (sadly actually FANTASTIC music) or interesting ideas can save it from that one issue. If you're a hardcore masochist, or you pee EXP and poop cure potions, this might be for you.But for anyone who doesn't view 200 restarts on the same boss fight because it's got an instant kill homing bullet on STAGE ONE as their idea of fun, avoid.. Hack'n'Slash game where you play as archer class character. Future is a rare topic for this kind of games. I guess graphic and effects are things that kept me playing till the end.But there are cons: Door code puzzles - Only distract from slaying zombies and robots Movement puzzles (Oh, I really hate these ones) when you need to go through obstacles that can kill you after few hits. I cannot realize why would somebody can consider it entertaining. In the most cases, I just tanked through. Too short - only 3 chapters (3 areas) and 1 NPCDespite these cons, I still found this game fun.. Been wanting to play this one for a while, but not too happy about it. It's so slow, and the action just doesn't seem to be rewarding at all. I was completely bored after playing for an hour.. quot;you will fight a battle for your survival not knowing that your actions will lead the fate of all mankind into dramatic consequences…"well i'll know now, thanks a lot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s way to spoil everything. it's an hack and slash. and my review may finish here.those kind of games are MADE to BE BORING.the same for many others (realms of ancient wars, hazen, titan quest...and the list gets sadly long as time pass by)shoot crawl shoot crawl level up shoot crawl.this was my story with this game.1) got in a bundle2) after a while i remember that i have this in my lib so i decided to download.3) i played 15 minutes and began to smell something bad in the air4) i checked and realized i washed myself, so it wasn't me5) i googled for the game and quicly realized that NO, the game won't evolve from the initial 15 minutes6) i asked myself a question: "why the f**k sould i have to play this game?"7) i answered: "for absolutely no reason"8) i'm actually writing this review9) and i will uninstall this game putting in the "♥♥♥♥♥♥quot; category (yes i have a category named this way).
